Joining our TELUS Custom Security Systems (TCSS) team, you will play a critical role in leading our strategic initiatives focused on transforming and streamlining our field deployment model across Canada to deliver best in class customer experience. You will have the exciting opportunity to partner with cross-functional teams to bring our vision to reality.

Here’s how
 
As a Sr. Project Manager, you will:
  • Leverage your expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and bring project management best practices to deliver the best results and help evolve our PMO maturity
  • Help remove impediments and foster a collaborative environment for high-performing teams with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Manage complex strategic initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to optimize processes, transform our TCSS Field Operations, and enhance end to end customer journey
  • Facilitate the required project meetings, including the kick-off, daily stand-up, sprint planning, backlog management, sprint review, sprint retrospective, and project closing 
  • Leverage your expertise in change management to help the team embrace and adapt change in a dynamic, fast paced, and growth-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to deliver projects in the most efficient and effective way with a smooth transition to Operations Team
  • Present findings and recommendations, facilitate workshops, set-up governance structures and negotiate or influence key decision makers
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, collaborate with the team to implement the solutions and improve operational efficiency
Your ideal profile includes:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) including the development of executive reports and presentations
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and work effectively at all levels of management including cross functional teams and senior executives
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and problem solving skills as well as experienced in managing multiple initiatives and changing priorities 
  • A strong customer first focus, a passion for continuous learning and sharing of knowledge as well as continuous improvement
  • Ability to embrace change, adapt team strategy, and redirect focus to fit business strategy
  • Passion for building strong relationships with stakeholders, developing strong networks of expertise and fostering a collaborative environment
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to create deliverables that can be used with an executive level audience
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and similar Google tools
  • Post-secondary degree and 5-8 years’ relevant experience in a complex and fast-paced environment 
Great-to-haves
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or other project management designations would be an asset
  • Experienced in using tools like JIRA or Asana would be advantageous
  • Understanding of Smart Home Security & Automation products and business model is an assetEntrepreneurial approach to getting results delivered
  • Broad organizational/industry knowledge
