As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Finance team within the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis department.  This role will support the Opex for National Field Services and Assurance, part of the Business Customer Experience (BCX) portfolio within TELUS Business Solutions (TBS).
 
Each day, this multi-faceted opportunity will keep you on your toes with value-add financial activities for our business partners, budgeting, planning, month-end reporting and forecasting.
 
At the core of your talents is your innate ability to communicate; you transform your in-depth financial analysis into a clear format that stakeholders understand! You also assert confidence and determination when interfacing with managers at all levels of the organization. Being the trusted advisor to the TBS team, you will have in-depth involvement in many aspects of their key business activities and processes.
 
Here's how
 
Be a trusted advisor to the National Field Services & Assurance team and Finance 
  • Manage and coordinate month-end reporting for VP Opex areas
  • Prepare monthly reporting and variance analysis for various stakeholders
  • Complete ad-hoc and other investigation, analysis and reporting as required
  • Prepare/review/process monthly journal vouchers and manage accruals 
  • Prepare/review forecasts for triage, budget and Strat Check purposes
  • Partner with key stakeholders in the Business Unit to track key performance metrics
  • Connecting with wireline gross margin / marketing teams and support BCX with development of a driver-based RGU forecasting model
Deliver SAP support
  • Maintain standard hierarchies and create alternative hierarchies as required to make reporting and analytics more efficient and effective
  • Create/maintain Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Internal Orders and WBS Elements as required
  • Have a deep understanding of labour flows and create/maintain interlock between business unit flows with Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) and Cost of Goods sold (COGS) expenditures

Required Knowledge
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with in-depth knowledge of Excel
  • Working knowledge of SAP/BW
  • Required Professional Designation/Certification
  • Business, Finance or Accounting related degree
  • Accounting Designation (CPA – CA/CMA/CGA)
Required Experience: 
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant analytical experience in a finance/accounting position
