The impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead the healthcare recruitment and talent management strategy as well as the end-to-end clinician experience. You will expand the team responsible for the recruitment of independent clinical practitioners across Canada to support delivery and strategic growth of in-clinic and virtual healthcare services. You will augment and execute on an ambitious recruitment & engagement strategy with the aim of expanding our clinical workforce by attracting & retaining the best clinical talent in Canada while providing candidates with an exceptional experience. 

Here’s how:
  • Recruitment
    • Lead and facilitate development of the annual Succession Planning sessions for Physicians and other IHPs in partnership with the TELUS Health Care Center’s leadership team 
    • Identify, design and implement annual and ad hoc clinical talent attraction and acquisition strategies based on the annual Succession Plan and annual turnover 
    • Maintain and enhance as required annual and ad hoc marketing strategy for candidate attraction
    • Partner with other teams and external organizations to capitalize on leading edge technologies, industry best practices, vendor support, and enterprise program management
    • Liaise with the marketing and PR team to ensure alignment of messaging to the candidate market with the consumer market
    • Continue to recruit best in class physicians and establishing market relationships in the healthcare space
  • Graduate recruitment
    • Develop, execute and maintain graduate recruitment program and strategy for attracting recently graduated physicians
  • Compensation
    • Maintain, enhance and adjust the national physician compensation structure to drive continuous attraction of high performing physicians with highest quality of patient care and strong clinician engagement 
  • Team Management
    • Coach, mentor and develop healthcare recruitment team to advance their skills in strategic thinking, marketing/selling, sourcing, assessing, impacting and influencing and relationship management
    • Develop a structured and data driven approach to recruitment with KPIs that yield data-driven insights to enhance our recruitment competitive advantage
    • Continuously enhance processes and guidelines for recruitment processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of talent 
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
  • Passionate about attracting and hiring top talent
  • 7-10 years of progressive management & recruitment experience with demonstrated successful track record of clinical recruitment and program management in the healthcare sector
  • University degree or other post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • Experience in setting up and implementing new programs; experience in liaison with universities is considered an asset
  • Understanding of compensation fundamentals and best practices as well as through knowledge and understanding of Canadian healthcare compensation models
  • Recognized and experienced people leader, energized by leading a team, sharing knowledge and expertise, and supporting, recognizing and celebrating success
  • Persuasive and influential trusted advisor who listens, learns, is curious, sees the nuances, applies facts and data, and can articulate a compelling story in a clear and simple manner
  • Foster strong, collaborative partnerships with client groups by providing solutions to unique, challenging and complex talent needs, proactively bringing forward new opportunities to explore, and delivering an exceptional customer experience and ongoing value-add
