The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) - Research & Development (R&D) team is made up of highly skilled problem solvers that are responsible for improving health care solutions within the primary care ecosystem.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and driven individual with a proven track-record to help the teams’ continuous strive for improvements.

The Development Manager should, supported by the senior management team, and in collaboration with the product managers, architects and other project leads, be accountable and responsible for the development and production support of the MedAccess EMR product. In addition to leading the technical delivery of health applications and solutions, the Development Manager will also be accountable for overseeing cross team collaboration ensuring proper conformance and integration of all components within a specific health eco system.

This person would work with others on the R&D leadership team to help measure and drive the improvements across our entire team as well as the team's interaction with other groups in our organisation. The work this person will be responsible for is meant to improve the lives of the people on the team as well as improve the products and services we deliver to our customers.

Here’s how
  • As a Skilled Professional:
    • You will provide technical leadership and lead development teams through execution of solution delivery
    • You will drive collaboration for creation of technical design documentations e.g. Detail Design and Architecture Blueprint documents
    • You will be involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, development, integration and implementation
    • You will help with systems analysis and design, system modeling, performance modeling, integration planning and technology and component selection to ensure architectural consistency and coherence between technical and business processes
    • You will manage and improve on the financial tracking process, monitoring and maintaining records & updating monthly spreadsheets to track and forecast all project expenses, including capital
  • As an Effective Collaborator:
    • You will work with cross team initiatives to report on the status of work from our team on those initiatives
    • You will Manage partnerships with external and 3rd party teams extending our Health delivery team`s delivery capabilities
  • As an Expert in your Field:
    • You will help with the analysis of metrics we currently have to drive improvements for our team, our company and our clients
    • You will act as a visionary to proactively assist in defining the technical direction for Health solutions
  • As a Trusted Partner:
    • You will communicate status on projects/initiatives to senior leadership
    • You will coordinate the delivery of team level reporting metrics to executives

  • Solid understanding of service oriented architecture and design patterns
  • Demonstrated capacity for problem solving, synthesis, and making sound recommendations and decisions
  • Structured and disciplined application and object-oriented development methodology
  • Ability to lead teams through design and articulate complex technical concepts into executable development work packages
  • Strong technology awareness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Well-organized; expert analytical skills
Great-to-haves
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Information Science or equivalent
