Required Knowledge:
  • Practical experience in working with or for small medium businesses
  • Proven sales record in solution and partnership selling in the telecom, software or high-tech environment
  • Background of industry knowledge, in wireless and wireline products
  • Background or knowledge of TELUS channels preferred
  • Experience in business development, preferably with small businesses
  • Sales Experience, preferably Sales management experience
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Practical experience in working with or for a small medium business
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, negotiation, communication, teamwork and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated initiative outside of normal work responsibilities with consistent record of strong achievement
  • Ability to travel to various parts of territory
  • Effective interpersonal skills interacting with both non-Executive and Executives, or both technical and non-technical audience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Understands and applies the level of urgency accordingly
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced culture and thrive in an ever-changing, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated capability of working effectively with cross-functional teams is essential
  • Proficient with the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Project
Required Professional Designation/Certification:
  • A degree or equivalent in business management or applicable university level discipline, business consultancy experience preferred
  • Proficient with the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Project
Required Experience:
  • Five years or greater of direct channel management or sales experience in the Telecommunications field
